We like people to know that being a Christian is not trying to keep a list of rules and if we break one God is going to get us.  Real Christianity is a relationship or a friendship with Jesus Christ.  He died for us, in our place so He could free us from the pain and control of sin.  He did it because He loves us and wants us to have a relationship with Him.

 I can guarantee that from a genuine relationship with Jesus will come a desire to live in a way that is pleasing to Him.  The truth is, anything that God tells us not to do is something that hurts and destroys us.  He is simply trying to keep us from the hurt and pain of sin.  He isn't trying to keep us from having fun, He is doing all He can do to make our life on this earth as wonderful as it can be.  Not only that, but through believing in and receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior, we get to spend eternity in Heaven!
