Bogotá , South America Pastor and Pam went with an AIM Team
of young people to Bogotá. Their host missionaries were Mike an Naomi
Lawrence - good friends of the Fussells. The focus was to reach
teenagers for Chris and they accomplished that by inviting 100's of
youth into the church for fun, games, music, dramas, one-on-one
discussions, and testimonies. They also took all that to the streets
and passed out fliers inviting them to come to church. Each evening
the church held a service and 100's received Christ as Savior.
They were also able to go into the public schools of Bogotá and
give out a free "Book of Hope" to each student- designed especially to
reach young people. Over 1000 books were given out. This was
especially gratifying to Pastor Brad, because he is the North GA
Representative for Light for the Lost. (Light for the Lost is a
missions program that uses the money raised to buy and distribute
Christian literature across the world.)
Colombia, South America
During an earlier trip to Colombia, Pastor Brad shined shoes for
the poor people outside of a church and invited them in for free food
and eye care. At the entrance, Pam Fussell also had an area set up for
serving free hot drinks and cookies. This area was also for giving
directions and explaining what they were doing. Afterwards, they went
into the building played games, saw an optometrist, Missionary Dr. Ron
Marcotte, for an eye exam and received a free pair of glasses. They
watched a drama, listened to testimonies, and heard the salvation
message. They were also invited back for a church service that
night. As they left, they received BIG bags of food from Convoy of
Hope and a hug from Pam. Many, many received Christ as Savior and an
Assembly of God church wit a Pastor was established there afterwards.
Bucharest, Romania
Pam was asked to go to Romania by Missionary Rose to to preach at a
Women's Convention and at the International A/G Church there in
Bucharest. Dallas First A/G made a way for her to go and covered
her with prayers every moment of the 11 days that she was gone. God
answered those prayers and used her in powerful ways to reach the
unsaved, the hurting, and anyone near her with the love of Christ. She
was also given the opportunity to speak to a group of teenage girls
and another night to speak to a large group of young adults.
At the Convention, she the topics she spoke on were "Overcoming
Emotional Scars", "God's Unconditional Love", and "Why
Do Bad Things Happen To Good People?". Many, many women were
touched and began the steps of being freed from the scars and pain of
abuse. It is unknown how many received Christ during this convention.
While there, Pam was included in powerful ministries going on in
Romania for the babies and children of that country. Ten years ago,
Missionary Reagan Goulash went to Romania and A LOT of great changes
and ministries have been set up and are making a difference. Pam went
to a hospital ward especially for abandoned babies. She got to spend
hours loving on, talking to, and praying for each little baby there.
Reagan and her tam have set up a Foster Care Program and an adoption
program to help get these little ones into loving homes.
Pam also was taken to another hospital of children who were sick
with cancer. They handed out second-hand clothes, toys, and vitamins
for the children and their mothers. Then Pam went from room to room
loving and praying over each child. The mothers took hold of her hands
and kissed them and then hugged her. (In reality they were responding
to Christ's love in Pam).
Pam was asked to paint nature designs on the walls in the home for
troubled mothers and their babies. She was blessed to be able to lead
two of the mothers to the Lord for salvation. |
